It depends on what time your flight is.  It is likely you will not get a good view of the Sun from either vantage point, and in any case you will need eye protection unless you happen to fly through the path of totality!
 
I would recommend traveling on Sunday to GA, and then staking out a ground-based viewing location on Monday in the path!
